Free A Child Through Scholarship

There are many ways you can help a Dalit child make their dreams come true, but providing the kind of education that increases their opportunity is one of the best. DFN has two primary ways of funding education: scholarship and sponsorship.

Scholarship

Your scholarship gifts go toward tuition, uniforms, school supplies, nutrition supplements (where necessary), textbooks, teacher salaries, and administrative costs for needy students in Good Shepherd Schools.
Your donations also strengthens the community, because each Good Shepherd School becomes the central hub for all education, economic development, healthcare, and social justice initiatives in that specific community.

A scholarship can be made on a monthly recurring basis, or a one-time gift. There are three levels of recurring gifts.

ENTHUSIAST: $10/MONTH (RECURRING)

Funds are used in schools where they are needed most. Provides about 1/3 the cost of educating a child for one year. Enthusiasts cannot designate a particular school.

BENEFITS: very affordable; you receive information about Good Shepherd Schools.

ADVOCATE: $20/MONTH (RECURRING)

Funds are used in schools where they are needed most or you can designate a school*. Provides about 2/3 the cost of educating a child for one year.

BENEFITS: ability to designate a school*; information about Good Shepherd Schools, plus you may request a yearly update.

CHAMPION: $30/MONTH (RECURRING)

Plus, 10% of your gift goes into a special account that will fund special projects at your designated school. You are actually increasing the impact of your gift over sponsorship by $3 each month.
